February Heritage Happenings

Show & Tell, Half-Price Deal, Your Heritage Home and Contest, & DigiCrops!

Show & Tell
In January's newsletter I set a personal goal to publish at least one important family project a month throughout 2009, and even listed my planned projects for the purpose of being accountable.  I'm VERY excited to show off my favorite project completed in January: a 7x5 "What I Love About You" storybook for my husband for Valentine's Day.  I started with a template from the Template Gallery, then altered each page to make it my own, and wah-lah, MAGIC! Click HERE to view it!  I gave this little book to him on Valentine's Day.  I feel that it expresses my love for him better than anything else...except for maybe a little alone time after he finishes reading it...Ahem (throat clearing)... :)

I believe that everyone has a love story to share.  I like this post on the HM blog, called "A Love Like That" .

Half-Price Deal
With 2009 in full swing, it's just about time to get ready for Spring Cleaning!  So, pull out those old boxes of photos and make the decision now to DO something with them.  I will do the hard part FOR YOU.  With my scanning service, all YOU have to do is go through your photos and select the ones that mean the most to your family.  I can pick them up, scan them with my high-output scanner (30 photos per minute! vs 1-2 photos per minute on a flat-bed scanner) and drop them back off to you.  It cannot be any simpler!  In fact, the first person to set up a February Scanning Appointment BY Monday, February 23rd, will get to choose a Heritage Makers project credit for HALF-OFF!!! (scan order of over 500 photos).  Email me now at diana@createheritageonline.com.  Click HERE for more info on my scanning service.

"WHY is scanning my photos so important?"
1.  To protect and preserve them: How are you protecting your photos in case of fire, flood, or other disaster?  It's easy to disregard this question, but you need to be prepared NOW.  When your photos are digitized:
   a) You can save them to CDs or memory sticks and give copies to relatives.j
   b) You can upload them to your secure ONLINE Heritage Makers account where photos are never deleted, except by you, and can be accessed at ANY computer with internet.
2. To remember the memories and share them:  Do you ever think about the thousands of memories attached to your photos?  If cherished pictures are stored in boxes throughout your home, how are the invaluable stories of your family going to be passed on?  It has to be done by YOU.  So don't wait!  I can help you from start to finish, and make it FUN along the way.

Build Your Heritage Home
February is the month of love, and I'm showing you love--HM style!  Choose to build your heritage home with an incredible package and a really fun contest.

Heritage Home Special - What defines YOUR heritage home?  Joy, love, laughter?  Remember the great memories of your family all year round with the Heritage Home Package.  This incredible package includes great projects to display your family's cherished moments anywhere in your home--on the coffee table, the kitchen counter, or the mantelpiece.  Click HERE to see the special (expires February 28th).

Heritage Home CONTEST - Home is where you...hang your heritage.  And HM wants to see it!  This month we want you to show us how you display your heritage at home.  Here's what you do: Take a picture of your Heritage Makers project in any room in your home (canvas prints on the living room wall, posters in your children's bedrooms, storybooks as coffee-table books, scrapbook pages you've framed, etc).  Then, write a short essay telling about heritage in your home.  Click HERE for more info (ends February 28th).
